Several trends can be discerned in the 40-year history of HIV, from palliative care to the current designation of HIV as a chronic, treatable disease. With an aging target group and the changing care needs of people living with HIV, we are in the midst of an ongoing paradigm shift with demands to adapt care and resource allocation.
Join us in this interdisciplinary session, where we tackle questions like: What is the cost of comorbidity and aging in people living with HIV? How can we better prevent, detect and treat comorbidities in a time of resource constraints?
Presentations and discussions will include both research and clinical observations with examples from Europe and the Nordics.
The event is organized by HIV-Sweden and supported by Gilead.

Flera trender kan urskiljas i den 40-åriga historien om hiv, från palliativ vård till den nuvarande benämningen av hiv som en kronisk, behandlingsbar sjukdom. Med en åldrande målgrupp och förändrade vårdbehov hos personer som lever med hiv står vi i ett pågående paradigmskifte med krav på att anpassa vård och resursfördelning.
Delta i denna tvärvetenskapliga session, där vi tar upp frågor som; Vad är kostnaden för komorbiditet och åldrande hos personer som lever med hiv? Hur kan vi bättre förebygga, upptäcka och behandla samsjuklighet i en tid av begränsade resurser?
Presentationer och diskussioner kommer att omfatta både forskning och kliniska observationer med exempel från Europa och Norden.
